The weather, currently.

Cool and windy, but sunny this weekend.

Cool weather persists this weekend. Friday and Sunday will be relatively the same, with sunny skies and highs in the upper sixties. Saturday will be a glitch in the weather Matrix, with temperatures shooting up to about 74°F, so that’s the day you should save for a stroll around Huntington Gardens. But even with the air alternating form cool and humid to hot and dry, a strong, persistent wind will make the weekend’s vibe cohesive. Winds will get stronger after dark, when temperatures fall into the upper-50’s and low 40’s, with Friday being the strongest day. By Sunday night, those skies will be riled up and threatening to storm. It’s too early to know if we’ll get the rain that’s on the horizon, but keep it in the back of your mind before you drift off to sleep.

Climate change, and the environmental racism that stems from it, has reinforced this severed relationship between Black people and their native environment, according to Holmes."
